Michael Tobin CBE

Chairman

Serial technology entrepreneur with 40+ years in telecoms and data centre infrastructure.

As CEO of TelecityGroup plc (2002–2014) he grew the FTSE250 company from a £6m to over £2.5bn market cap, and has since led landmark exits including Pacnet (to Telstra), Itconic (to Equinix) and Teraco.

He currently chairs NorthC Data Centres, EdgeConneX and Radius Global Infrastructure, amongst others.

Ajay Gokani

Vice Chairman

British entrepreneur and investor with 30+ years building market-leading businesses across telecoms, distribution, luxury tourism, marine leisure and real estate.

Founder of Elite Mobile Ltd (1994), which built one of the UK’s most extensive prepaid mobile distribution networks, supplying products to around 60,000 retail outlets nationwide.

His portfolio includes Galaxy Connect, a wholesale supplier to 22,000+ retailers, leadership involvement in Xclusive Yachts Dubai’s 110+ vessel fleet, and participation in over 30 real estate developments across the UK and Dubai.

Amrik Sangha

CEO

Founder of Amsa Digital, helping hyperscalers, developers and investors source land and power for hyperscale data-centre developments and raise capital for emerging-market projects across Europe, Africa and Asia.

He brings 20+ years’ regional experience in corporate real estate and digital infrastructure, and is a Partner at Gateley Middle East, advising on data-centre transactions and cross-border FDI across the GCC and MENA.

His track record includes many of the landmark developments in the UAE — from the Burj Khalifa with Emaar Properties to Saadiyat Island with TDIC Abu Dhabi — having acted as General Counsel on numerous mega-projects, including recently bringing US hyperscalers into the GCC.

Timur Nurtayev

Advisor

Timur supports the Amsa Digital team with advisory input and research, drawing on a technical background in hardware electronics and web development alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Brighton.

He holds the EPI Academy Data Centre Foundation Course [R22] certification, and contributes to the firm’s technology infrastructure analysis and due diligence.

Nabi Makashov

Advisor

Nabi specialises in structuring joint-venture deals for real estate and infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region.

Over five years, he has advised developers, sponsors and investors on setting up JV partnerships — bringing international capital together with local partners in one of the region’s fastest-growing markets.

His work covers every stage of a deal — finding the right partners, agreeing structure and governance, arranging capital, and seeing the transaction through to completion, including the regulatory and cross-border issues that come with investing in the region.
